Future of our economy
Downtown is the engine of our economy, and I want to transform this space into 21st century walkable neighborhoods and adapt to a changing office demand.
Housing
As your Chairperson on the Committee on Housing, we have accomplished reforms to increase affordable housing, but have more work to do this term.
Public safety
To keep our neighborhoods safe, I have worked to go after the root causes of crime and worked to make our returning citizens whole. We have work to do reforming our 911 system, crime lab, and more.
Education
Increasing resources for trade schools and Masters in Social Work here in DC has been a focus of mine to increase opportunities for Washingtonians and help tackle the housing and public safety challenges we face as a city.
